The weather for our first couple days or our trip we knew was going to be cold, but we decided to brave it anyways – checking out some rock, climbing some problems etc.

We loaded up into the car then whipped out the guidebook and decided to head to the “Mansize” area.  Then we realized we were camping in that parking lot for the area!  We unloaded and walked up the hill to the boulders.

Despite the snow, (it was flurrying, but not sticking long), we tried several problems and I was happy to send “Stand-Up Comedian” V5 second go and “Isosceles” V4 after a handful of tries.  We did a handful of easier problems, but we didn’t really want to beat ourselves up the first day.

The thing about the desert is that in the sun, it could be 35 degrees, but it feels like 50.  Its great!

We’re really stoked for this place!
